Diamond 42 aircraft belly-lands at Ilorin airport, Nigeria

Diamond DA 42 in the of the Ilorin International Airport, Nigeria.

The Diamond 42 aircraft belonging to International College of Aviation, Illorin, Nigeria belly-landed at Illorin Airport on Wednesday 2nd of May, 2019. The aircraft with registration number 5N-BNH which was being used for training had no casualty after the occurrence which happened at about 11:10am. However, minor damages were incurred.

The Rector of the College, Engineer Benedict Adeyelika confirmed the crash and added that the aircraft is under assessment by the Accident and Investigation Bureau (AIB). Mr. Tunji Oketumbi, AIB Spokesman also corroborated that the Bureau has indeed commenced investigation into the occurrence. Engineer Benedict Adeyileka also assured that the college was ensuring that it gives AIB all the support and data required for the investigation.
